Features


Ruby red color. Fine fruit on the nose, with hints of red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and blackberry. On the palate, soft tannins and still lots of cherry.

Vinification


Fermentation in oak vats with two weeks maceration at 25 ° C, malolactic fermentation and maturation for 12 months in barriques and tonneaux, light filtration before bottling.

The history of the Cantina di Caldaro goes back a long way. A century of history that has brought this winery to its current level: professionalism, passion and high quality levels. From 1900 to today the Cantina di Caldaro has written a piece of the history of Alto Adige wine. Today it is a reality that has 650 members who cultivate 450 hectares of vineyards. The last step was the merger between Kellerei Caldaro and Erste & Neue in 2016 giving life to CANTINA CALDARO . It should be noted that the two realities merged into the new cellar keep their wines and their labels separate. The main vines used are the Kalterersee native vine of Lake Caldaro, and in succession Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Lagrein Chardonnay to name the most important.
