Features

Brilliant straw yellow color in which green flashes blend while in its bouquet the notes of hazelnut, ripe summer fruit and tropical fruits are clearly recognized, which are also accompanied by slight veins of toasted aromas and vanilla. On the palate it is robust, full and well proportioned while the aftertaste is elegant, round.

Vinification

Cold maceration for 6-8 hours, alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation in barrique, maturation for 18 months in barrique. This is followed by 12 months of aging in steel and 6 months in bottle.

Producer

The CASTELFEDER winery was founded in 1969 by Alfons Giovanett, who at that time already had several years of enological experience behind him. In 1989 his son Günther took over the management of the company and at the same time the winemaking structure was transferred from Egna to Cortina ssdVino, a small town with ancient winemaking traditions. Günther is now helped in the daily management of the company by his sons Ivan and Ines. Today the cellar produces about 500,000 bottles, divided into different labels - “Burgum Novum”, “Mont Mès” and “Villa Karneid”, flawless, elegant wines with great personality, for a production that stands out for its lively territoriality.
