deep and bright straw yellow color, it has a good concentration and a pronounced aromatic vein, with spicy-smoky notes, dried flowers and roses that tend to expand and thicken in the glass. The taste is dense and rich, with firm body, remarkable freshness and vivacity. We recommend allowing this wine to age further in the bottle for at least 1 year, so that it can refine its bouquet to the maximum.

The grapes are immediately lightly pressed and the must left for a few hours in contact with the skins. This is followed by careful pressing, the natural precipitation of sediments and fermentation at a constant temperature of 20 ° C. all enhancing the unique organoleptic characteristics of this wine.

Perfect as an aperitif but also excellent with gorgonzola

The company was founded in 1907 by the hand of Joseph Hofstatter today the great grandson Martin Foradori Hofstatter with a purely family management carries on the estate with its approximately 50 hectares of vines. The vineyards located between 250 and 800 meters above sea level in Bassa Atesina in the province of Bolzano give the opportunity to grow different varieties of grapes, both white and red. The focus is on the traditional varieties for the area: Gewürztraminer, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, Lagrein and Schiava. Hofstätter wines make their origin recognized. They take on the flavor of the exposure where their grapes were born, of the soils and of the microclimate. The Gewürztraminer del Kolbenhof and the Pinot Nero Vigna S. Urbano di Barthenau are among the first wines from South Tyrol to take the name of their place of origin
