Producer

The company was founded in 1907 by the hand of Joseph Hofstatter today the great grandson Martin Foradori Hofstatter with a purely family management carries on the estate with its approximately 50 hectares of vines. The vineyards located between 250 and 800 meters above sea level in Bassa Atesina in the province of Bolzano give the opportunity to grow different varieties of grapes, both white and red. The focus is on the traditional varieties for the area: Gewürztraminer, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, Lagrein and Schiava. Hofstätter wines make their origin recognized. They take on the flavor of the exposure where their grapes were born, of the soils and of the microclimate. The Gewürztraminer del Kolbenhof and the Pinot Nero Vigna S. Urbano di Barthenau are among the first South Tyrolean wines to take the name of their place of origin.
