Color, light yellow, with slight greenish reflections. On the nose, fresh apple, lemon grass with light hints of vanilla. The scents evolve in the glass, releasing a floral ensemble of considerable intensity. On the palate it is lively and fresh with a fine and refreshing acidity well balanced. The fruity and floral aromas are repeated on the palate and give the wine its true character.

Vinification

The grapes are lightly pressed, the must is separated from the residue through natural precipitation and then left to ferment at a controlled temperature of 20°C.

Pairings

Starters, fish dishes and white meats.

Producer

The winery was founded in 1907 by Joseph Hofstatter; today, his grandson Martin Foradori Hofstatter runs the estate with approximately 50 hectares of vines. The vineyards are located at altitudes between 250 and 800 metres above sea level in the Bassa Atesina in the province of Bolzano and offer the possibility of cultivating various white and red grape varieties. The focus is on the traditional varieties for the area: Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Lagrein, and Schiava. Hofstätter wines make their origins known. They take on the flavour of the exposure where their grapes were grown, the soils and the microclimate. The Gewürztraminer from Kolbenhof and the Pinot Noir Vigna S. Urbano from Barthenau are among the first wines from South Tyrol to be named after their place of origin
