Ruby red color. It smells of cherries, blackberries and black currants. In the mouth it is elegant with a delicate tannin aftertaste.

Fermentation of the grapes in stainless steel, manual separation of the grape skins, and rest on the marc for a few weeks. Storage of young wine in oak barrels and large acacia wood barrels.

Lamb meat, vegetable dishes and grilled fish.

The owner Reinhold Messner and the managers Gisela & Martin Aurich founded the farm in 1992. The vineyards of about four hectares extend on steep slopes at an altitude between 600 and 850 meters. CASTEL JUVAL favors the cultivation of white grape varieties, primarily Riesling then Pinot Bianco and Muller Thurgau. The CASTEL JUVAL winery produces unique wines, allowing them to best express their natural character. These are complex and elegant wines, with great aging potential.
