Intense marasca red colour. Complex, full bouquet, initially fruity (cherry, blackcurrant) then spicy and floral (tobacco, violet, mint) with hints of wood. Marked impact, long and concentrated on the palate. Persistent, with a fresh and fruity finish and pronounced but not aggressive tannins.

Soft pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation for about 15 days and malolactic fermentation in steel. This is followed by ageing of the wine for about 18 months in small wooden barrels of 150 - 225 litres (Allier and Nevers French oak, of which about 1/2 new depending on the vintage).

Beef, roasted or grilled, lamb, game, cheese.

Founded in 1823 and now in its fifth generation with the current owner Alois Lageder, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation. Every action carried out on the estate is inspired by a holistic and sustainable approach. This means that respect for nature takes precedence, as demonstrated by the choice to practice organic-dynamic cultivation. The grapes harvested in the family's own vineyards (approx. 50 hectares) in Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno and the area around Lake Caldaro are cultivated using organic-dynamic methods. The Lindenburg vineyard in Bolzano and the Krafuss estate in S. Michele/Appiano are currently undergoing conversion. The Tenutae Lageder wines are made from grapes grown in the family's own vineyards. These are joined by the Alois Lageder line of typical wines, most of which are vinified in purity and made according to the highest quality criteria dear to the winery.
