Characteristics

Straw yellow colour. On the nose it smells of white peach, apricot. On the palate elegant, very mineral with marked acidity, long finish.

Vinification

The hand-picked grapes are aged 50% in steel and 50% in large wooden barrels for 7 months.

Light appetizers and light first courses.

Producer

The STRASSERHOF estate is located in Novacella near Varna. The estate's headquarters is at 700 metres above sea level, nestling among the vineyards in a sunny position. Since 2003 the young winemaker Hannes Baumgartner has been producing his wines, mainly white wines such as Muller, Veltliner, Sylvaner, Kerner, Riesling and Gewurztraminer, as well as the red wine Zweigelt. Wines of excellent freshness typical of the Isarco valley.
