Features

Straw yellow in color. Exotic fruity with aromas of pineapple and mango; harmonious wood with light hints of vanilla. Full-bodied and creamy in the mouth, persistent with lots of fruit and length in the finish.

Vinification

Destemming of perfectly healthy ripe grapes, cold maceration for 10-18 hours, soft pressing, natural decantation of the must, slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C; 5 months of maturation on the fine lees (50% in tonneau and large wooden barrels), filtration and bottling in March.

Producer

The history of the Cantina di Caldaro goes back a long way. A century of history that has brought this winery to its current level: professionalism, passion and high quality levels. From 1900 to today the Cantina di Caldaro has written a piece of the history of Alto Adige wine. Today it is a reality that has 650 members who cultivate 450 hectares of vineyards. The last step was the merger between Kellerei Caldaro and Erste & Neue in 2016 giving birth to CANTINA CALDARO . It should be noted that the two realities merged into the new cellar keep their wines and their labels separate. The main vines used are the Kalterersee native vine of Lake Caldaro, and in succession Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Lagrein Chardonnay to name the most important.
