Features

Intense ruby red color. Pleasant scent, tertiary hints of evolved forest fruit, herbaceous, ethereal. Dry, harmonious taste, non-edgy tannins, rich in body and structure.

Vinification

Traditional maceration of the skins, fermentation at controlled temperature with punching down in steel tanks, refining in barriques for a few months before bottling.

Pairings

Rich meats and middle dishes. It also goes well with medium-aged cheeses.

Producer

In Mezzocorona, the winery is one of the oldest in Trentino, founded in 1863. Today it is managed by the Marco Donati family with his wife Emanuela and daughter Elisabetta. Passion and commitment pushes us to continue the family tradition in the continuous search for improvements day after day for the enhancement of a quality viticultural heritage. One of the vines to which the Donati family is historically linked is Teroldego, a native vine of the area with which the legendary "Sangue di Drago" is produced.
