Features

Bright garnet red in color, with intriguing spicy aromas reminiscent of red berries and cherries combined with seductive spices such as white pepper and chocolate. On the palate it surprises with great and fresh sapidity, precise and elegant tannic structure together with a fruity and spicy density with a persistent finish.

Vinification

Fermentation in steel with 10 days maceration on the skins and subsequent malolactic fermentation in cask. Maturation for 12 months in French oak barrels. The bottling is followed by a long refinement in the bottle.

ELENA WALCH married the heir of one of the oldest winemaking families in the region, bringing with it new concepts of modernization of the traditional company. Today the business management is entrusted to the daughters Julia and Karoline Walch, the fifth generation of the family. With 55 hectares under cultivation, including the two vineyards Castel Ringberg in Caldaro and Kastelaz in Tramin, ELENA WALCH is one of the most important winemakers in South Tyrol. The superb climatic conditions and the exceptional location of the estates result in fresh and fruity white wines, as well as concentrated and smooth red wines.
