The de Vescovi family has been cultivating vines in Mezzocorona, in the Campo Rotaliano, for more than 300 years. It was Vigilio de Vescovi (doctor of theology, treasurer of the Prince Bishop of Trento) who led the family from Vermiglio, in the upper Val di Sole, to Mezzocorona in the second half of the 1600s. With this descent from the source to the mouth of the river Noce (Ulzbach) a new chapter in the history of the family begins. The plain was already a place of flourishing agriculture and the fame of Teroldego had crossed the regional borders since the time of the Council. Thus the De Vescovi began to produce grapes and wines. A few years ago, Giulio De Vescovi at the end of his course of studies, fresh from a degree in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Florence, decided to give life to his dream: to create a great wine.
